Situated in the heart of England, within the Charnwood national forest a unique landscape with 700-million-year-old volcanic rock outcrops. This special landscape is home to a wide range of flora and fauna where there is ‘amazing energy’ for spiritual work.

Guests are free to explore Nanpantan’s delightful woodland estate. There is a hidden dell ideal for quiet contemplation and mature gardens. The garden terrace along the back of the house overlooks the lawns and has far-reaching picturesque views over the valley towards Beacon Hill. Wheelchair access is available from the house onto the terrace.
Guests have direct access to woodland walks and open heaths. A two-mile permissive path leads to Beacon Hill, one of the ‘Seven Natural Wonders of the Midlands,’ From the top, there are expansive views across Leicestershire to Lincoln Cathedral and the hills of the Peak District.
